When we first met Nicole, we knew hers was no average wedding.  Nicole and her groom were planning a fabulous garden affair in a private home in downtown Charleston.  As she described to us all of the whimsical ideas she had concocted, we knew in order to generate the magical ambiance she desired we would need something beyond your average wedding gown.  We enlisted the help of upcoming local designer, Kira, of Kira Elizabeth Designs, who custom created a dress for Nicole, based closely on one of her designs.  Kira also hand-made Nicole’s hairpiece and flowers which she attached to her otherwise plain, peep-toe pumps.  After the final product was complete and Nicole slipped on her custom gown for the first time here in our boutique, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.

Dress and accessories by Kira Elizabeth Designs

When Kelsey first visited us in our boutique, she was unsure of what she wanted from her wedding gown and what type of ambiance she desired for her big day. After originally being drawn to a more traditional, lace number, she thought it over and came back a few weeks later proclaiming that she wanted something more informal, different, and most of all FUN!  With that in mind, we helped her select this to-die-for short wedding gown by Modern Trousseau.  Kelsey still got the gorgeous lace she loved in the cotton lace bodice, and the satin skirt and accompanying belt mixed in some new textures and added some flair.  Our favorite part of the ensemble? Kelsey chose to have the dress made in the most beautiful subtle blush color.  She truly was an absolutely gorgeous blushing bride!

We were thrilled to see one of our favorite brides, Seantell, pop up on one of our favorite blogs, The Wedding Row!  Seantell and hubby Ernest teamed up with the talented Juliet Elizabeth on this fabulous “day after” photoshoot.  Here’s a little peek at some of the gorgeous shots.  Seantell looked simply stunning in a fit and flare Alencon lace gown with a keyhole back by Modern Trousseau.  She chose a latte colored underlay, which offset her caramel (and did we mention flawless) complexion, and really made the ivory lace pop.  Paired with a gold sash, Seantell was a vision!
